Hello! I am Rakiba!

Mechanisms of Contaminant Transport

Hi, I’m Rakiba Sultana!
I am a researcher in contaminant hydrogeology. My research broadly focuses on understanding contaminant transport mechanisms in the vadose zone and groundwater during flooding events.

My work integrates analytical laboratory techniques (e.g., Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy), hydrogeological field experiments, analytical modeling, and numerical modeling using the MODFLOW 6 suite, with model calibration in PEST and PEST++ and Python-based pre- and post-processing (FloPy, pyEMU).
